2. Fish - any of various cold-blooded, aquatic vertebrates, having gills, jaws, commonly fins, skin covered in scales: including the sharks and rays and typically have an elongated body covered with scales.

Fish are unique because they live in the water, are covered with scales, breathe through gills, have fins and are incredibly diverse with more than 31,900 species.

The type of salt water fish featured in the picture below is called a clown fish, there are very many different types of fish, However they are sorted into two main types of fish. The first type of fish are Cartilaginous fish, which include rays and sharks. The second type of fish is a Osteinthyes fish which is a simple fish that has bones, like fish that someone has in their fish tank.

This goldfish is an example of an Osteinthyes fish.

3. There are 2 main types of fish. They are Osteinthyes fish and Condricthyes-Cartilaginous fish. Osteinthyes fish are bony and have scales, swim bladders and gill covers. Some examples are, clown fish and goldfish. Condricthyes-Cartilaginous fish do not have bones, scales or swim bladders, they have open gills and they are made up of cartilage. Rays and sharks are example Condricthyes.

Sharks are an example of a Condricthyes-Cartilaginous fish.
