WIKI PAGES DUE: TUESDAY, MARCH 15TH OR WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16TH -- 8 or 9 days from today!!!

 

Your assignment is as follows:

You and your group should collaborate and make a WIKI. I have assigned you an animal group. Find your group's preexisting page (for example: Fish 5 in 5th Period's folder) and start working on your group's page. Find information in your textbook, online & elsewhere. Don't forget about the PowerPoint presentations on the class webpage.


Your page should have the following:

 

Above All Else -->> Give your page a unique title that draws your audience in!!!

 

1. Is your animal an Invertebrate or Vertebrate?
          a. Define Invertebrate or Vertebrate.
          b. Include pictures with captions backing up this information.

              (Include URL for picture directly under picture)

2. The definition of your animal group.
          a. Define your animal group -- Give a definition.

          b. Each group has their own characteristics that make them unique.

              Tell us what your group's unique characteristics are!!
          c. Include pictures with captions backing up this information.

              (Include URL for picture directly under picture)

 

3. Give examples of the different types of animals in your category.

    For example: There are three main types of mammals.

    What are they? (Give examples to back it up.)
          a. Include pictures of each group to give your viewing audience a better idea.

4. Show relevant diagrams of your animal group.

5. Place links to various videos that will help your audience understand your group of animals.
    Make sure you watch all videos entirely AND they are appropriate for your age-group.
    (They may be too difficult, not difficult enough or not have the correct information.)


6. You should have a place where your sources are cited.

7. Underline & Bold important vocabulary words your classmates should know.

8. Make 8 questions for your classmates to answer about your topic. The answer(s) to these questions should be found on your WIKI.

 

9. Each group member will have their own text color so we will know who's done what. Group members may choose their own color.

 

    For example: Tony, Billy, Shirley, Lucille are group members.

 

         Tony writes in green.

         Billy writes in blue.

         Shirley writes in red.

         Lucille writes in orange.

 

10. Keep comments on topic and appropriate.
